A tutorial on vexelling lips. I'm sorry the file is so big and the tutorial so long, but it was aimed more at beginners and so the first half is quite detailed.

Software: Photoshop CS3, mouse & pen tool (+ tablet/brush for outline sketch which is later deleted).

What's "TT" layers?

Transition layers. They're layers between your first layers of shading of colours similar to the colours either side to help create a smooth transition from one main colour to the next. They can be done as more solid shapes, as gradients or as solid shapes at varying opacities.
