Somehow, returning
To be honest, I didn’t think I would ever return to Deviantart. When Cavitto closed, so many of us lost the place we called home, and it was difficult for me to be around knowing that the site would never quite be the same. I am definitely not alone in these feelings, even after a few years - it isn’t easy losing something so important that you dedicated so much time (and, for many of you, money) to, and I’m still sorry there was nothing we could do. Somebody recently reached out to me, which meant I had to log in for the first time in a long time. I’m not going to lie - being back was a painful reminder of everything we had lost. But then I started looking around - old blogs for events I ran, art in my favourites, pages of people I used to know, and I was reminded of how much love exists within the harpg community.
